Lewis E. Paynter was born in Maryland in or round 1876. He is the son of Julia A & Thomas J Paynter. Julia was born Sept 1852 & Thomas J was born Aug 1851. Thomas J was a farmer. Lewis had the following siblings Emma b. Aug 1883, Carrie b. June 1881 Delbert b. May 1888 William born around 1878 & Roger E.12 Mar 1892,he is my great-grandfather.
Lewis E married Mabel C. Eckhart b. 1895. They had Lewis E. Jr. b.1926, Gloria K b.1927 & Warren Thomas b. 3 jun 1924 d. 23jul 2005. Warren married Marie A. King. I believe you have from there on Warren. All of these Paynters were born in Maryland in the Carrol County area. Not sure when they moved to the Bradford, Pa area.
I can go back 1 more generation on the Paynter side, but it's real light info. Thomas J was the son of Thomas Paynter born around 1817 in England & Ann C. born around 1831 in Maryland. They had John born around 1853, William born around 1855, Ellen born around 1858 & of course Thomas J. Thomas Paynter was a miner. I am not sure when he left England. Or if there was a 1st wife or other children. That's about it of what I have for now. Unless you what info on Roger E. part. Roger E was married twice & my great grandmother was his 1st wife. And my grandfather was their only son. Still looking to see if he had children with his 2nd wife. But Mom Mom never had a nice thing to say about him all of the time I knew her.
I do have a copy of Warren & Marie's engagment & wedding annoncement if you need them. Just the stuff from the news paper & it copied from archives. Hope it helps!
